Adequate problem solving means to be methodical. It is the key to a successful manufacturing system. Given its importance, the problem-solving process based on Toyota's work philosophy is to have completely standardized systems, understand the situations, investigate the causes, establish actions, establish measures, evaluate and re-standardize.


An interesting fact is that problem solving is achieved with 20% of tools and 80% of thinking. The participation of all levels of an organization is vital to achieve high effectiveness.
